WoW Forever Gold on the US Mega-Server
Blizzard calls it Americas; everyone searching for it types US. One world for North and South America, one character-name space, and no realm for a seller to be on the wrong side of.
Same rates on both mega-servers today. If the two economies separate after November 4, these become two price lists instead of one — the tracker will show it before we write it.
Layering, and the one trick worth knowing
One world does not mean one copy of the zone. Forever spreads players across layers, so two people standing in the same spot may not see each other. Mail ignores layers completely; for a hand-to-hand trade, a party invite pulls you both onto the same one.
Time zones and hand-off
Americas covers both continents, so the seller's night is somebody's morning. Mail delivery is unaffected by any of it — you collect from the mailbox whenever you next log in, which is why most orders on this side are posted rather than traded.
Questions about the US mega-server
Does gold cost more on the US mega-server?
Not today. Every style is the same price on both: $0.86 Normal, $0.65 PvP, $1.04 Roleplay. The mega-server decides where the seller has to be standing, not what they charge.
Can a seller from the other region deliver to me?
No. The Americas and Europe are separate worlds with separate characters, and nothing crosses between them — no mail, no trade, no auction house. An order placed against the wrong region cannot be delivered at all.
Do I need a realm name when I order?
There is no realm to name. Your region, your gameplay style and your faction are the whole address, plus your character's two-part name — which is unique across the region, so there is nothing to disambiguate.
